Sorry for not posting two days..... I was kinda busy.
Anyway, School is opening soon and I gotta prepare for it.
I'm not writing a poem today because I just can't think of any.

~ EsCapE ~
Waking up from an unconscious mind,
I survey the area around me.
Try to lift my tired arms,
but the chains around my hands weigh me down.

In within my exhausted self,
I wish for the day of light.
I wish for wings to take me away,
to a peaceful and quiet life that I deserve.
No more pain and suffering,
No more as a slave to anyone.

I was born as a cheerful and happy person,
but war took the life I loved away from me,
becoming a lowly helpless slave.
Every night I would have chains cuffing my hands,
only the comfort of the moon would let me sleep.

One night I wished upon the moon,
wishing for it to grant me wings.
I then dropped onto the cold ground,
and dreamed of wings,
the colour of the blanket covering the sky late at night.

The next day I woke up,
I saw clouds, I saw light,
the one thing that had escaped from me.
But escape was the only thing I needed most.

I had found freedom.
The blood on my hands were gone.
I cried, tears rolled down my cheeks.
Each drop of tear showed a part of the happiness I now had.
I could now rest peacefully,
knowing that the pain was finally gone.

A famliar hand appeared,
I reached out for it,
and then came the warm light.

The cell guards saw the young girl,
lying cold on the floor.
Her breath of life was gone,
her hair spread out on the floor,
only a smile on her face and a tear dripping down was left valuable.
